The isolation of many of the camps renders it impossible for men to keep in touch personally with former employment or with new work opening up.
The employment of the men from the Relief Camps is so rare that a fixed idea prevails among the men that they are deemed unsuitable for employment, and are shunned by those seeking workmen."
